Gnomeregan Forever (G4 for short, no pun intended) is a guild in World of Warcraft. We are currently the largest—and most active—all-Gnome guild Azeroth has to offer.
We were founded in 2010 by Forbidra, with a vision of uniting players with a love for Gnomes and banding together to make sure Blizzard kept its shortest class top of mind.
Sadly, late 2018 we lost a Leader and a Friend. Today, we continue to nourish and grow the seed that was planted so long ago with a promise to be the best Gnomes we can be.
<Gnomeregan Forever> was born of Forbidra’s frustration over the Alliance’s apparent indifference to the plight of the Gnomish people, as well as a desperate desire to leave the world of the Tall Folk and to return to her safe, boring life as a reference librarian in Gnomeregan.
She began to seek out other patriotic Gnomish refugees to join her in supporting the High Tinker’s bid to liberate our beloved city. Eventually that support coalesced into a citizen’s militia of sorts which seeks to defend Gnomes and Gnomish interests wherever the need may be.
We are not soldiers. Indeed few of us would pass the physical required to join the Gnomish armed forces. As our founding commanding officer, Forbidra tried in vain to instill some military style discipline and precision into her tiny troops. Nevertheless, even after her passing, G4 remains the most eccentric and unorthodox unit ever to fly the purple and gold banner of Gnomeregan, yet somehow we always manage to get the job done!
Over the years, we’ve been told by our members that G4 is one of the most friendly and positive guild environments they have played in. It turns out that’s no accident—our officers spend a significant amount of time and attention every day to cultivate a positive in-game atmosphere. We strive to create an environment that is inclusive of players at all levels of skill and with all types of interests in-game and out.
This care starts with our membership process. Rather than ask prospective members to fill out an application and dazzle us with their gnomish exploits, each guild member is asked to sit down for a one-on-one conversation with our guild leader or one of our officers. This helps us ensure that every person who joins the guild is aligned with our mission, and will contribute to making the guild a great place to play.
G4’s leadership team fulfill a variety of roles and responsibilities to help improve the experience of all gnomes in Azeroth and beyond.
The ranks in G4 help organize our members so they know what their responsibilities and capabilities are. Here is a list of all of our ranks and what they mean:
The Boss. Head Gnome. Number One. Best Dressed. Head Honcho. You get it.
This gnome is here to help when the Tinkmaster or other leaders are not available.
Requirements: Promotion by the Tinkmaster.
Logistics, Environmental, And Dynamic Expedition Representative
These gnomes make up the core of the Gnomeregan Forever leadership and are responsible for everything from RP and PvP to Raid Leading and Communication.
Requirements: Promotion by the Tinkmaster.
Advanced Gnomish Enemy Neutralization Team
You have proven yourself as a respected veteran member. With the prestige of this rank comes the added expectation of being the best of the best in regards to behavior, ability and representing G4 in Azeroth.
Requirements: 3+ months of service and max level.
Mekkatorques Enhanced Mechanized Brigade & Explorers Regiment
After one month of service, reaching max level and being in good standing with the guild, they will be promoted to an official G4 M.E.M.B.E.R.
Requirements: 1+ month of service & not max level.
Once the applicant passes the interview, they will be considered officially recruited and gain the rank of Recruit.
Requirements: Passed an in-game interview with G4 leadership.
Applicants are gnomes that have been invited to the guild but have not yet passed the interview process with G4 leadership.
Requirements: Gnome or Mechagnome.
We do not have an excessive amount of rules in G4, however we are committed to those we do have. All current and prospective members are expected to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and agree to them as a condition of membership.
